Aimee M. Skier
Vice President
Aimee is the third generation at AMSkier. Born and raised in camp country, Honesdale, Pennsylvania, Aimee also spent many years at camp. After earning her bachelor’s degree at Syracuse University and her MBA degree to follow, she joined AMSkier and continues the tradition of caring.
Aimee enjoys spending time with her family, going to Philadelphia Eagles games, planning a vacation, visiting summer camps, and riding her Peloton bike.

President
Dedication to children’s camps has been a cherished part of Henry’s life since his years as a camper and counselor. Since then, he has committed most of his professional life to serving camps as president of AMSkier. This dedication, sincerity, and professionalism contributed to his receiving the ACA Tri-State Award in 2009.
Jeffrey M. Skier
Vice President
Jeffrey Skier lives and breathes summer camp and is the 3rd generation of Skier Family leadership. Dedicated to the power of camp, Jeffrey serves on several boards including Project Morry, SCOPE and the American Camp Association New York/New Jersey Affiliate. After earning his degree at Syracuse University, he joined AMSkier and continues the tradition of caring for America’s finest summer camps.

Alan Cooper

Holding the title of one of the world’s only “Camp Lawyers,” Alan has been practicing law for over 30 years. He left his job in a large Philadelphia law firm to be nearer to his summer camp roots in Northeastern Pennsylvania. He has been an AMSkier Partner since 2000. Alan recently founded our local “Challenger” Little League Baseball team, where he and his four children teach life skills, sportsmanship, and a bit of baseball to special needs children in our area.

The focus of Cathi’s work is assisting children and staff in supporting the social/emotional development of children. Cathi is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. As a Private Practitioner and consultant she sees children, families and adults of all ages which makes her well aware of the issues that confront our campers and their families. Being a Social Worker in the Public School system in New Jersey also affords her the additional opportunity to keep abreast of what is currently important to children and families today.

Jeff Jubelirer is our newest AMSkier Partner. Jeff specializes in public relations and media support. Along with being a former camper and camp counselor, Jeff comes to AMSkier with over twenty years of professional experience and serves as a camp public relations expert to help with media, parents and virtually any kind of communications needed.

Julie Leydon, RN., BSN., is an experienced and fully licensed Registered Nurse of 41 years who is dedicated to the mission of compassionate patient care. She is a Certified Nurse Manager whose primary goal is to eliminate gaps in patient care provided, as well as needless duplication of treatment, all while controlling the cost of quality patient care. She has worked primarily with Workers’ Compensation and Occupational Health in large corporations, insurance companies and the private sector.

Christina Walker, RN., MA., has 40 years of nursing experience, offering her knowledge concerning camper health and safety. Her expertise involves Infection Prevention and Control, which addresses factors related to the spread and prevention of infections, monitoring/investigation of demonstrated or suspected spread of infection, and management within the camp setting.
Laura Blaisdell

Pediatrician
Dr. Blaisdell is an AMSkier Partner and Pediatrician who specializes in public health. For 20 years, she has worked in camp medicine, serving as Medical Director at Camp Winnebago. She currently is Vice President of Maine AAP and a founding member of Maine Families for Vaccines. Dr. Blaisdell researches parental vaccine hesitation with Maine Medical Center. In addition to general pediatric health management in the camp setting, Dr. Blaisdell’s expertise in camp medicine includes immunization, infections and public health policy. Dr. Blaisdell is involved as a medical advisor for American Camp Association.
Chris Hudson

Chris has been working with young people for 30 years! He has worked in summer camps as a counselor and founded Camp Highlight, a camp for children with LGBTQ parents. As a social worker, he has worked with many different populations. His passion continues to be creating safer spaces at camp for LBGTQ foks and people of color. He practices as a consultant on DEI and other topics targeted on making young people and the programs they frequent more compassionate, receptive, and efficient.
Rachel Fendell Satinksy

Rachel Fendell Satinsky is a Camp
Counselor (at law). Life-long camper, counselor and now camp parent, her unique insight and understating proves valuable when representing and providing guidance to camps of all kinds. A Shareholder in the Philadelphia office of Littler Mendelson, Rachel dedicates her practice to employment litigation and counseling, with a focus in the camping industry. Her experience includes hiring and terminations, leaves of absence, accommodations, harassment, internal investigations, policies, training, and wage and hour/pay issues. Rachel is available to all AMSkier camps across the country for employment and staff-related consultation, advice, and guidance.
Jordan Dale
Safety Workshop Presenter & Moderator
Jordan was a camper, counselor, and supervisor at Surprise Lake Camp and served as Executive Director for 30 summers. He is a lawyer, having passed the bar in Illinois and New York. He has served on the Boards of Directors of the Association of Jewish Sponsored Camps, the American Camp Association's New York Section, the Cold Spring/Garrison Area Chamber of Commerce, and the New York State Camp Directors Association, where he was also President. He chaired New York's Children’s Camp Safety Council for many years. Now retired, Jordan enjoys consulting with camps and mentoring camp professionals, and he is hiking the Appalachian Trail one section at a time.
Joel W. Schachter
Professional Engineer
Joel is a Professional Engineer with over fifty years experience doing building evaluations. He lives and works in Northeastern Pennsylvania and in the New York City area. He visits camps in Northeastern Pennsylvania and in the Catskills and Sullivan Counties of New York State and provides helpful analyses and evaluations of camp buildings and facilities. Joel is also available to all AMSkier camps in all states for consultation and advice.
Frank Bayer
Managing Claims Director
Frank Bayer has over 40 years of experience in the adjustment industry as a General Adjuster, Claims Manager, and Senior Level Executive General Adjuster at Fortune 500 insurance companies. AMSkier is very proud of the long-standing relationship for over 30 years with Frank who now works as the AMSkier Partnering Claims Adjuster. Frank is retired from the United States Navy Reserves after a 25-year career. He holds many professional designations in the insurance field and is an invaluable source of knowledge for the AMSkier Claims and Safety department.
Robin R. Blum
Dermatologist
Dr. Robin R. Blum is a board-certified dermatologist and Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. She specializes in both medical and cosmetic dermatology. Dr. Blum graduated cum laude from Tufts University in Medford, MA, and earned her medical degree with Honors from Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston, MA. She completed her dermatology residency at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York, NY, where she prestigiously served as Chief Resident during her final year. Additionally, Dr. Blum furthered her education and training by completing a two-year fellowship in dermatopharmacology, during which she participated in cutting edge research in psoriasis, eczema, and acne. When not practicing dermatology, Dr. Blum enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, skiing, and cooking.
Christopher Thurber

Dr. Chris Thurber has dedicated his professional life to enhancing the experience of adventurous young people who are spending time away from home. He created Prep4School.com and Prep4Camp.com to teach kids and caregivers how to prevent homesickness, cope with stress, and be their best selves. Organizations on five continents have invited Dr. Thurber to deliver keynotes, contribute articles, and lead workshops for teachers, students, parents, and CEOs. A graduate of Harvard and UCLA, Dr. Thurber has served as a psychologist and instructor at Phillips Exeter Academy since 1999. His most recent book is The Unlikely Art of Parental Pressure.

Since graduating from Lehigh University, Steve has over 20 years of experience in the insurance and reinsurance industries. Steve helps manage our program insurance relationships including the management and supervision of Skier Re. After spending many childhood summers at Day and Resident Camps, Steve has a special place in his heart for summer camps.
Howie Gulker

Howie Gulker was a high school teacher for 22 years, and from 1968 until 2005 he and his wife were owners and directors of Blue Rill Day Camp. They are the proud parents of two daughters who have blessed them with five grandchildren. All of their grandchildren have been attending camp since the age of three. Howie never attended camp as a child, and was introduced to the wonderful world of camping by his college basketball coach. As a result, his life was changed forever.
Dan Wolfson
PsyD, Clinical Psychologist,

Dr. Dan Wolfson is a licensed clinical psychologist who feels most at home around a campfire. He is the Mid-Atlantic region Clinical Director of Experience Camps for Grieving Children, a Senior Staff Psychologist at Rennicke & Associates in downtown Manhattan, and a summer camp consultant and staff trainer around topics including grief, staff dynamics, and camper social/emotional functioning. His doctoral research explored the relationship between self-esteem and social connection among adolescents participating in a therapeutic summer camp, and his work has been featured in local and national media outlets including ABC, Today, The Huffington Post, Modern Loss, Fatherly, Vice, and more.
Fran Mendelowitz

Fran received her education at Columbia University and is a licensed clinical social worker specializing in work with children, adolescents, young adults and their parents. She maintains a private practice on Long Island and conducts interactive workshops throughout the tri-state area on pertinent psychosocial issues and mental health topics. Fran has been affiliated with camps for over 40 years is a strong believer in the immeasurable value of summer camp. Her four children have continued the tradition as dedicated campers, counselors and administrators at overnight camps.
David Tager

David has worked with children his entire professional life. He spent 19 years in education, first as a special education teacher. After 10 years in the classroom David was appointed to the position of Director of Special Services in the Bay Shore, New York School District. In 1980 David applied for and was appointed to the position of Elementary School Principal in Valley Stream, New York. Having worked at Kamp Kohut in Oxford Maine, each summer, from 1967-1980, David’s dream was to own and operate a resident summer camp with his wife, Shelley. His dream came true in 1989, when David and Shelley purchased Indian Head Camp, (now Camp IHC) in Equinunk, PA. David is a past president of the Project Morry Board of Directors, and he served for many years on the Board of the New York Section of the American Camp Association. Presently, David is Director Emeritus at Camp IHC.
Fred Levick

Fred Levick spent 25 years working in health care management and hospital administration in North Carolina, following graduate school at The University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill, before returning to his first love, Jewish summer camp, in 2000. For 19 years Fred served as CEO of Ramah Darom, in Georgia, and helped grow it into one of the premier Jewish summer camps and year-round retreat centers in the country. He lives in Atlanta, Georgia with his wife, Marcia.
Sheira Director-Nowack

After attending Ohio State University, Sheira received a Master’s in Social Work and Certification in Jewish Communal Services from Yeshiva University. She has a certification from Columbia university in Supervision and a certification from Cornell University for DEI work. She has been in camping for over 28 years, working in Jewish residential camps as well as day camps. Sheira served as the director for a Jewish camp for children who have learning issues and social skill disorders. Sheira most recently was the camp director at Camp Havaya, the Reconstructionist movement residential camp. She is now a therapist specializing in groups in central NJ. She has been married for 20 years to Brian and they adopted a daughter from China in 2004 who is now a college student.
Nick Teich

Nick Teich is the founder and former director of Harbor Camps for transgender youth. A social worker by training, he now consults with camps on issues of camper and staff mental health as well as transgender and non-binary inclusion, and much more. Nick also runs Fairwinds Family Camp for families of trans youth. He is a member of the ACA-New England Board of Directors and is the author of Transgender 101: A Simple Guide to a Complex Issue. He very much enjoys working with camps and helping them feel confident about the program they deliver.
David Berkman
Safety, Security & Emergency Management
David spent 25 years honing his expertise in leadership development, youth development, risk management, and love of camping, working at the Union for Reform Judaism (URJ). He held senior positions for URJ Camps in Texas and Pennsylvania, as the Associate Director of Camping and Israel Programs, and as the inaugural director of URJ Camp Kalsman in Arlington, WA. David managed the URJ's COVID-19 response and positioned the system's programs for a successful opening for the 2021 season. Additionally, David served as the head of safety and security for major URJ events for nearly twenty years. A former firefighter and EMT, David now focuses his time on helping organizations identify, minimize, and mitigate health, safety, and security risks.

Sherry Bryer
Personal Assistant to the Skier Family
Sherry is one of the first friendly voices you hear when you call AMSkier. She spent many years in the restaurant business before coming to AMSkier in 2012. She is a graduate of Johnson School of Technology, with a degree in Mechanical Drafting and Design, and Lackawanna College, where she studied accounting for the natural gas industry. A lover of pets, she has eight horses, two dogs, and even more on her family farm in the Beach Lake area.

Julie joined AMSkier in 2013 with over twenty years of experience in Hospitality. She is one of the first friendly voices you will hear when you call AMSkier. After graduating from Charleston Southern University with a bachelor’s degree in business management and criminal justice, she moved to Scottsdale, Arizona to pursue her golf career. Julie is happy to be back in her hometown in Honesdale, Pennsylvania, where her entire family resides. Julie loves spending time with her family & friends and always enjoys a good game of golf.
Kim DeEsch

Kim takes care of payroll, accounts payable and generally helping with staff needs. Kim loves the small town of Hawley, PA, where she works, finding great satisfaction in the area’s natural beauty. Working at AMSkier since 2002, Kim has found her perfect fit since she likes to sit at night around the campfire and stargaze. A true romantic, Kim also loves to sit on the porch in the morning and listen to the birds sing. She is married and has one daughter.

Suzanne joined AMSkier in 2005. As Agency Assistant Vice President, she works closely with the Skier Family to build relationships with existing and new clients. She has a vast knowledge of markets and wows our clients with finding the unique coverage they are looking for. She is an insurance industry veteran and first started with an insurance agency in 1988. Though she was born and raised on Long Island, Suzanne now loves living in quaint Hawley, PA with her husband and two daughters. When away from the Skier offices, she spends as much time as possible with her cherished family and friends.

Born and raised in Northeastern Pennsylvania, Kevin currently resides in Honesdale, PA with his wife and three children. He is an avid sports and outdoor enthusiast. When he isn’t at AMSkier you can find him kayaking, biking, hiking, or attending his children’s sporting events.

Leslie Cook

Leslie has 18 years experience in the personal lines Insurance industry working with many different carriers during that time. She is originally from Gettysburg Pa. But also spent several years growing up in the Catskills, NY. Leslie has a huge passion for all animals and wildlife. Her biggest passion is dogs. Especially German Shepherds. Leslie and her husband spent a lot of time learning about the breed and are able to rescue, train, and raise them, which is extremely rewarding. When Leslie is not working, she enjoys spending time with her wonderful husband of 18 years, 6 German Shepherds, and all the wildlife that comes to visit.

Tammy was born and raised in Hawley Pennsylvania. After graduating from Wallenpaupack Area High School, Tammy attended Charleston Southern University, as an Early Childhood Education Major. Everything she has learned from her education has helped her grow as a professional and as a mom. Outside of work, Tammy loves spending time with her family. As a mom of two amazing boys and a stepmom to two beautiful girls, she enjoys photography and capturing all their special family moments together. Part of the AMSkier Family since 1990, MaryHelen grew up in Hawley and graduated from University of Pittsburgh. After spending several years working in New York City, she found her way back to Hawley and AMSkier, where she works closely with Henry, Jeffrey and Aimee, taking care of America’s Finest Camps.

Peggy is a lifelong resident of the Hawley area and has been a part of AMSkier for over 30 years, working in various areas of the business. It was in 1995 that Peggy was recruited in the Camp Department and has worked there ever since. Peggy has earned her designation as Certified Insurance Counselor, and Certified Insurance Service Representative.
Niki Bolduc

With over fifteen years of insurance experience, Niki Bolduc joined the AMSkier Family in 2018. Niki is a lifelong resident of Northeastern Pennsylvania and has an 18 year old son and 22 year old daughter. Outside the office, Niki enjoys caring for her family, cooking, painting & antiquing as well as volunteering and fundraising for worthy causes.
Johanna Bush

The first person you speak to at AMSkier is often Johanna. Friendly, helpful and resourceful, Johanna wears many hats with over 25 years at AMSkier. She is the first contact for emergency calls, directing Camp Directors to the right AMSkier Partner, professional resources or anything else that may be needed. You can also meet Johanna at ACA Conferences, during camp visits or at many of the community and professional functions associated with AMSkier.

Growing up on Lake Wallenpaupack, Anna has always loved boating, hiking, enjoying the sunshine and just about anything outdoors. Although never a camper herself, Anna feels passionately all kids should have the opportunity to grow through summer camp and develop the skills necessary to thrive. Anna is always eager to be helpful to our camp clients & friends!

Liz joined the AMSkier Camp Team in November of 2022, as a Service Director. Liz enjoys cooking, baking, spending time with family, and traveling. She is passionate about all things outdoors. When she isn’t working, you can find her at the stable with her horse, Prince, or hiking with her boyfriend and their dog Remi.
CJ Shultz
Service Director
CJ will be working with AMSkier Camps to take great care of our Camp Directors and Friends on a day to day basis. When CJ isn’t working, you can find him in the kitchen whipping up something with a lot of flavor and hanging out anywhere where there is sun and a body of water! He enjoys being involved in community projects, spending time with friends and family, and traveling (He’s been to 46 of the 50 states so far).

Sue is no stranger to AMSkier having worked here for more than 30 years now. She is a licensed Insurance Agent and holds her Certified Insurance Service Representative designation. In the past, Sue has worked in Personal and Commercial Lines. She has been in the Camp Department for over 15 years. In her spare time Sue enjoys photography, especially taking pictures of sunrises and sunsets.
Dianne Hoffman

A native of Philadelphia, Dianne moved to Hawley in 1990 where she lives with her husband and three children. After 26 years in the legal profession, Dianne joined AMSkier in 2011, obtained her insurance license and is now dedicated to ensuring the safety of children’s camps across the country as an Account Manager. Dianne enjoys spending time with family and friends and volunteering for local activities and fundraisers.

Prior to joining AMSkier in 1983, Fili worked at Deutsch Lloyd Insurance in Frankfurt, Germany. After years of experience in Commercial and Personal Lines she enjoys working in Camps Department. In her spare time, Fili volunteers for the Downtown Hawley Partnership, likes to garden and participates in the local arts & crafts activities.
Johanna K-Bruzgo
Account Manager
Johanna joined AMSkier in fall 2023, bringing 7 years of insurance sales and underwriting experience and an MBA from Wilkes University. Originally from Reading, PA, she moved to NEPA in 2016. Beyond work, Johanna loves hiking with her dog, reading, being creative, and spending quality time family and friends.

After receiving a master’s degree in Accounting from Keystone College, shortly after Angela joined AMSkier in 2022. Angela was born and raised in northeastern Pennsylvania and enjoys the country life. Her main hobbies are being out on a boat, spending time in the woods, and spending time with her family.
Pavel Mozga
Information and Technology Director
Pavel joined the AMSkier Team in 2002. As Information and Technology Director Pavel contributes his significant skills with technology and computers to the smooth functioning of AMSkier. During college, he spent five summers working at Camp Scatico. After earning his bachelor’s and master’s degree in Management and Economics, Pavel and his wife Maggie interned together at camp. Pavel was an accomplished soccer player in the Czech Republic, and still enjoys playing in his free time.
Zack Bruzgo
SKI-Eye Drone Pilot
Zack Bruzgo, hailing from Cape Elizabeth, Maine, joined AMSkier as the SKI-EYE Drone Pilot in the summer of 2024. With years of experience in digital media, Zack has honed his skills in marketing, video production, video editing, photography, and drone operation. He obtained his Part 107 Commercial Drone License in 2018, leveraging his expertise to capture stunning landscapes and create compelling marketing materials. Now, he applies his drone piloting proficiency within the insurance industry. A 2017 graduate of Marywood University, Zack enjoys skiing, Jiu Jitsu, kickboxing, drone photography, and spending time with his wife and their pets.

Joseph Faubel, CPA
Chief Financial Officer
Joe joined AMSkier in 1992 and today is the Chief Financial Officer. He also serves as Director and Assistant Secretary of AMSkier Reinsurance Company. Joe graduated from University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School and was licensed shortly thereafter as a Certified Public Accountant in Pennsylvania. Joe presently resides in Hawley, PA, with his wife in the same home in which they raised their three sons.
Penny Spory

Proud to be a part of the AMSkier Family, Penny began her career with AMSkier in 2000. She graduated from Shippensburg University with a BSBA. Having lived in Virginia, New York, and Pennsylvania, Penny currently calls Newfoundland, PA her home, with her husband and three stepchildren and two English Bulldogs. In her spare time Penny enjoys attending sporting events.

Laurie grew up in Hawley and came to AMSkier in 1980, after spending several years working at a local resort. She began her career in our Claims Department and has been our Senior Accounting Service Director for many years, working directly with our Camps. Laurie is a licensed Insurance Agent and holds the CISR designation. She enjoys spending her time with her family, including her daughter, her son and his wife.
Magdalena Mozga
Billing Coordinator
Magdalena (“Maggie”) expresses her creative side in everything she does at AMSkier. She has always been attached to summer camps, spending many years at them as a child. During college, she worked at Camp Scatico, where she met her husband Pavel. Both are now at AMSkier and their two children are campers. Maggie has a master’s degree in Economics and completed an internship at European Integration Committee in Warsaw, Poland. In her spare time Maggie enjoys running and hiking.
Logan Curnal
Accounting Controller
A native of Hawley PA, Logan proudly returned to his hometown in 2022 and joined AMSkier as Accounting Controller shortly thereafter. Logan graduated from the University of Pittsburgh in 2019, with a degree in Accounting and Business Information Systems, paired with a minor in Public Service. After graduating from the University of Delaware in 2011, Marissa began a career as a high school math teacher. With over ten years of teaching experience, she joined the AMSkier family to pursue a career in accounting and use her love for numbers in a different environment. Marissa values the opportunity to live and work in her hometown. In her spare time, Marissa enjoys a boating on Lake Wallenpaupack, golfing, skiing, and spending time with her family.
